Ruinarts Cellars in Champagne plunge underground down a 30 metre staircase into Cellars that are listed as a National Heritage site.
 
The 1996 Magnum is an excellent Champagne - rich and full bodied.
 
Tasting at first of roasted hazelnut, subtle then fresh, crisp. A superior wine in terms of power and intensity, and displaying a fine balance between "zingy" and rich.
 
The 1998 Ruinart Magnum is presented in a beautiful case, with a metallic inside and magnet folding box lid.
