At Chateau Musar Lebanon, 2003 produced one of the most powerful and full-bodied Musars that should be extremely long lived After the rainiest winter in 15 years, not a drop of rain fell from mid-April from when it became hot and sunny, although July and August were not as hot as years gone by.
 
Serge Hochar makes his famous wine from grapes in the Bekaa Valley and is keen to embrace the differences thrown up by each vintage and produce a wine that represents that year.
There are some constants and the blend is aged for nearly a year in French Nevers oak. It is bottled in it’s third year and cellared for 4 more years prior to release. 
 
The vintage is deep ruby in colour with notes of plum, blackcurrant, and spice. On the palate prune, liquorice, spice and dark cherry, with a long finish and vibrant acidity.
