Crossroads Winery 2008 Pinot Gris Hawkes Bay also known as Pinot Grigio in Italy, Pinot Gris is at home in many of the world’s wine regions and is related to its red cousin Pinot Noir.
 
A lovely soft texture and subtle fruit of Pinot Gris make it an easy and appealing style.
 
Aromas of nashi pears, guavas, and yellow peach are complimented by a gentle custard like character that weaves through the wine in both flavour and mouthfeel.
 
A pure, off-dry and persistent finish encourages the next sip. Delicious on its own, Pinot Gris is also a very food friendly wine, the subtle character supporting but never upstaging the dish. Pinot Gris partners especially well with seafood pastas and fresh sushi and sashimi.
