Non Vintage Champagne
Non Vintage (NV) champagnes are for the moment, ready to be enjoyed at the drop of a hat. In the production of NV champagnes the champagne houses strive to keep a consistent taste, in accordance to their own particular style year by year. This consistency is achieved through the blending of wines from multiple vintages.
NV Champagnes are released when they are ready so should only be kept for a year or two before drinking, however there are exceptions to this rule, higher priced non-vintages such as Armand de Brignac's Ace of Spades, Laurent Perrier's Grand Siecle and Krug Grand Cuvée, These prestige curvées are top blends from their respective house and of no less quality than a vintage champagne.
