Vintage Champagne

In most champagne houses vintage champagne or Cuvée de prestige is often the best purchase one can make. Vintages from different years all have there own character, some prefer the richer vintages such as 1996 while others tend to favour the more elegant and subtle vintages of 1995 and 1998.

Whichever vintage is chosen you can always be assured that it is the finest champagne, the richness in variation only serving to increase your pleasure. By law any vintage champagne must be kept in cellars for at least three years before the sediment may be removed through disgorgment. Most top quality producers leave the champagne to age a few years longer than this minimum requirement.

The Non-Vintage Champagnes from each House provide the entry level, consistant Champagne that reflect the brand and that are ready to drink within the first two years of release.
