St. Germain liqueur made from Elderlower blossoms from the foothills of the Alps married with grape spirit, just as artisanal distillers have done for three generations creating fine French liqueurs dating back to 1884.
Just enough pure cane sugar is added to enhance the natural flavor of the blossoms. The result,after painstaking refinementsis a clean floral nose with hints of pear, peach and grapefruit zest. Most importantly, one will note the wonderfully fresh flavor of the elderflowers, available for the first time in a finely balanced artisanal liqueur.
St. Germain & Champagne Cocktail
St Germain Elderflower Liqueur 70cl½ part St-Germain
Top With Brut Champagne, Dry Sparkling Wine or Brut Rosé
Pour ingredients into a chilled fluted glass and stir lightly. Float half a strawberry as a garnish. Drink a toast to the elegance of simplicity and the divinity of les fraises fraîches.
Variation: Experiment with other garnishes. A lemon twist, or raspberries perhaps. Just don't tell the strawberries – you know how jealous they can get..
