Codorniu's 2008 vintage of Reina Maria Cristina was released as the first ever Spanish Blanc de Noirs. Codorníu have crafted the first cava to be made as a Blanc de Noirs style – made famous in the Champagne region – a white sparkling wine, made from black grapes.
Fine, delicate bubbles rise to create a perfect, long lasting crown. On the nose, exquisite red fruit and violet aromas show complexity, structure and creaminess that only the Pinot Noir grape can bring. These aromas are complemented by the yeast notes from the extended ‘lees’ ageing.
The same aromas are intensely apparent in the mouth, leaving an overall sensation of creaminess, delicacy and body.
A unique ‘Blanc de Noirs’ sparkling wine for the most refined palates, which stands out for its finesse and elegance.
An excellent cava to combine with white fish and seafood such as lobster, crayfish, etc. A perfect companion for special celebrations. Serve chilled. Drink in a flute glass
