Dom Pérignon Vintage 2017 Vintage Champagne is an extraordinary release, and very limited. Born of a year marked by climatic extremes, and stands as a beacon of creative risk-taking and meticulous selection. Buy the 2017 Vintage from Dom Pérignon, a celebration of harmony, precision, intensity, minerality, and complexity, all sustained with a signature completeness. Dom Pérignon Vintage Champagnes are only born out of exceptional years, and 2017 is no exception.

In a radical departure from tradition from Dom Pérignon, this latest vintage release is Chardonnay-dominant with 61% Chardonnay and 39% Pinot Noir, which is reminiscent of the revered 1970 and 2005 releases. This is a vintage that sets the tone for future creativity and excellence, and is the smallest ever release for Dom Pérignon.

The wine has a duality to its character - bitterness and acidity, and tension, opulence and edge, and roundness and straightness.

Dom Pérignon Vintage 2017 feels like a substance in zero-gravity, like the fluidity of a moving mass. This movement is pulsating; it is boiling, then whirling. The wine leaves an impression of soft gushing.

97 Points. " The 2017 Dom Pérignon is so impressive. A sort of mini-2002, the 2017 is a Champagne of textural richness and resonance above all else. The 2017 is a wild, exotic Dom Pérignon." - Antonio Galloni

96 Points. " Dense and layered with dried apples and pears, as well as candied lemons, grilled lemons and lemon meringue. Tiny production. Smallest ever for Dom Pérignon." - James Suckling

2017’s growing season was a crucible: a winter drought, 12 frost days in March, and a blazing summer tested the limits of the vineyard. Yet, through careful selection and creative vision, Dom Pérignon’s team harvested the ripest Chardonnays since 2000, crafting a wine that is both a rare break from tradition and a triumph of ripeness. 2017’s narrative is one of challenge and triumph. While frost and drought threatened yields, and late summer rains brought new trials, the fruit that survived was exceptional, especially the Chardonnay. The result is a wine that encapsulates the spirit of perseverance and innovation.
The Dom Pérignon 2017 has duality to its character - bitterness and acidity, opulence and edge, and roundness and straightness. This duality transports you to a dream-like world of fragrances and flavours capable of reconciling contraries. On the nose, a pleasant earthy aroma that is warm and fresh. Hints of complex notes of candied zest, altogether vegetal and fruity, soft and grainy. Dom Pérignon Vintage 2017 feels like a substance in zero-gravity, like the fluidity of a moving mass. This movement is pulsating; it is boiling, then whirling. The wine leaves an impression of soft gushing. Of these evening perfumes, intense and mysterious, which trail carries us away. Of these fluid and rhythmic dances which movement we are drawn into. Seduction.
The essence of a Dom Pérignon Vintage is best experienced at an optimal temperature of 54 °F (12 °C). As the wine gains a few degrees in contact with the glass, it is recommended serving it between 46 and 50° F (8 and 10 °C).
Vintage Rosé and Plénitude 2 (P2) reach their aromatic apex at 57 °F (14 °C), and, thus, should be served at a temperature of 50 to 54° F (10 to 12 °C).
